Recognition

Dr. Burdine is an internationally recognized expert in community health development and population health status assessment. His experience includes the development of a number of national “model” programs for community-based health improvement implemented while he served in senior management positions with large hospital systems in Texas and Pennsylvania. Subsequently Dr. Burdine spent ten years as president and senior scientist of a nationally recognized health care consulting firm working with a wide variety of client organizations including federal and state agencies, health care organizations and philanthropic groups. Since coming to Texas A&M in 2001, Dr. Burdine has co-authored more than 100 papers presented at national professional meetings; and has been awarded more than $12 million in grants and contracts for community health improvement related research, demonstration, and evaluation projects.
