She represents Scott & White Healthcare as an active participant in the CDC-funded Healthy Aging Research Network, the CDC/NCI-funded Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network (CTxCARES), and an AHRQ-funded ACTION II partnership.

Dr. Hochhalter is a member of the Scott & White Healthcare Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor IRB.

She is a co-PO on the NSF-funded Texas 2-Step project, which aims to increase the number of students who go on to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
